What Linea Are You Wearing? -- August Edition

Today despite the overcast clouds, it's humid outside and I am wearing the olive feather jersey pants over a JCP Worthington cowl neck sleeveless print top.

Worthington® Short-Sleeve Cowlneck Top - PetiteLinea by Louis DellOlio Wide Leg Pull-on Pants w/Pleat Detail - A233191

This cowl top has the exact olive in the stripping as the pants.

Wearing a nude eye shadow with Urban Decay Mildew eyeliner pencil.

Re: What Linea Are You Wearing? -- August Edition

Today, gasp, I went to the mall to pick up a few Clinique items and to look around and see what was in for fall already.....lots!  The summer things are bedraggled and all on super discounted sale prices in racks everywhere but lots of very pretty early fall pieces and some great sales too.

I wore my new Halston stone colored wide leg cropped pants, but on me they are very flattering just above the ankle pants A274569.  They held up great in the hot humid weather and were so comfy as well.  I highly recommend these, not too "gaucho," just very cool and edgy for a woman of a certain age.  The black ones came home to me too.

Also wore a black MarlaWynne butterfly tee with sleeves pushed up to the elbow, black/natural Clark's ankle strap flat sandals A265281, which I had thought would look not so great with the pants, but did look just fine, think it was the ankle strap and heel design that makes them look fashionable and current.

Then I added the Linea silver palm frond earrings and WOW!

I have begun to wear these more often, and today they were the perfect finishing touch for a summery look.  I had them for a year before I was brave enough to wear them, and now when I am in the right mindset (been viewing too many photos of the Accidental Icon!) I wear them.

I had compliments from several women, one a younger salesperson who said she really liked my earrings, liked "the way I wore them, perfect for me."  Yay!  Thank you Louis for making me look artistic and fabulous all at the same time.

Had my JRipka silver chronograph watch on, and the original Barbara Bixby Big Blue topaz ring, and  my summer zip zip Dooney in Lipstick (hot pink) A272209 that perked it all up but was still "me."  It matched my lipstick today......

[ Edited ]

For dinner out with my husband on a chilly evening, I wore all alabaster--the gauze crepe pant, the crepe gauze top and the v-neck cardigan. I had on the Linea long necklace of gold crosses and another long necklace of glass beads and alabaster pearls. Gold hoop earrings. Gold strappy sandals. Sueded mini crossbody bag in a light tan. Felt so elegant and comfortable & got quite a few compliments! That column of alabaster color with those fabulous pants is a killer look!

So hot and humid, but I was very comfortable in my vintage tie dye sand maxi. I got many compliments.

I have the palm earrings in gunmetal and wear them often.  I did not purchase the matching necklaces because that just seemed like too much to me but love those earrings!

@DiAnne

I think the gunmetal ones must be even more edgy; what a statement they must make!  I am thinking of getting the new ribbon necklace in gunmetal.

The palm frond earrings and the necklace (I don't wear them together) have articulated pieces so they move and catch the light and are surprisingly comfortable to wear.  They are attention grabbers, definitely, and in a good way.
