Wayback Machine: Do you own this?...

I ordered this skirt on a whim and because the price is so low that, if it becomes a "what was I thinking" moment, I can donate it and not feel too wasteful.

I got the black...I have a feeling I might be able to pair it with the imperial violet swing sweater...of course the black swing sweater will work, too...and black boots.

But...I wanted your opinions, especially if you own it.  What do you think about this skirt with the imp violet swing sweater?  Do you think the sweater will be too long/wide/asym and throw off the proportions?

I had to order the small (med not available) and hope it has some stretch...?  The waist and hip measurements just barely work for me in the small...but if I wear a tunic length top and it has some stretch it should be okay.  The only bottoms I own of LDO's are the pebble crepe cropped pant in med (or was it a 10...too lazy to go look LOL), which fits easily.

If you own it, what is your opinion of the fabric ("thin" was a recurring criticism in the reviews)?

I have the top that matches that skirt.  I also have the black and wear it under the dark purple chenille jacket he did a few years ago.  I don't think it is extremely thin but like I said it is the top not the skirt.  Hope it works out for you.

@MacDUFF

I own the companion top (A228336) in walnut and tarragon. I bought the walnut skirt and had it shortened to pencil skirt length. I never really wore it and donated it.

I wear the tops with the walnut or tarragon WK pants. I am not in love with the fabric, so I hardly wear the tops in the fall/ winter.

I bought the skirt on ebay for very little and found that the pattern (I bought the black combo) on the front of my body was squarely in the wrong place! It looked like a uterine xray on me!

YIKES!  I like to step out of my comfort zone now and then, but anything resembling a uterine x-ray is a big NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!  LOL!  If it works with the longer tunic, I may avoid that disaster, tho.

If it doesn't work for me, I may have to make an infinity scarf out of it!

Re: Wayback Machine: Do you own this?...

I have all three colors in the skirt and the top. They are extremely comfortable and travel well. I wear them in the fall and winter with tights underneath so the weight of the fabric is perfect. They pair beautifully with the tweed jackets sold a few seasons ago. Because the fabric is lighter, you don't swelter in the jacket. The fabric has a beautiful sheen. The prints are dark and I never noticed any odd patterns in them. I give these pieces high grades.

YAY!  There's hope!  Smiley Wink  Do you think the skirt has a long, lean line that would work with a tunic top?  Does it have some stretch to it?  Thanks for your response BWE!

I have worn this skirt a lot and have paired with all kinds of different tops. You can't go wrong with this low price.

Re: Wayback Machine: Do you own this?...

I don't have this and vaguely remember it when it was new.  I'm going to try the tarragon, see how it will work out with a more casual look:  chunkier sweater and boots, with my olive Linea trench coat for the fall.  Of course it would also be great for a more dressy/casual look as they show it in the video.

The fabric is gorgeous and is exactly the sort of print and luxe look that is everywhere for fall in the fashion ads.  I can always turn it into throw pillows or a scarf  as the fabric is so rich, unique, beautiful. I think a longer top would cover the uterine x-ray nicely......!I Great price too.
