@chouston is your jacket true to size...how are the arms...I somethimes have trouble wih my arms being too big for the sleeves. This was true even at my slimmist in my 20's and 30's. My upper arms were muscular I think due swimming.

A few days ago I received my Riding Jacket in the Plum color. It has been years since I've bought a suit-type jacket from anyone because I typically do not suit up these days. In addition, the suited look is not that flattering for my body type.
WELL, having written the above, please let me write that this jacket is nothing less than spectacular.
How I love its cut -- especially the cutaway feature -- its fabric and its look. If it can flatter a curvy, bountiful body like mine, it must be glorious on those who have retained their youthful trimness or on someone young.
This jacket boasts an elite look that most likely would cost me hundreds of $$$ elsewhere. I had already purchased the skirt made from the same TCF. Of course, I am thinking of another color in this excellent jacket.
Thank you, Louis, for a superior piece of work.
ETA: I forgot to mention that the cut of this jacket lends itself very easily to the casual look with jeans that so many of you favor. It is easy to see the jacket change its character with its versatile look.

I'd like to add my voice to the splendor of this jacket. The fabric the fit, the style are all incredible. I first bought the Plum and Bisque because they are two colors I do not have , and they are just fabulous. When I got them home I ordered the black too on quick delivery. I got it yesterday and oh my. These are some of the most gorgeous jackets I have seen anywhere. Last year I bought two jackets from Veronica Beard for over $600 each!! Never again!! They were made in the same blend of yarns and I like the Linea better!. Check them out at Neimans. They are all on sale and still are more than double the Linea price. As long as Louis keeps making jackets like these I will keep buying.

Goldie, I love to read your posts. They are so poetic!

1jac,
You are so kind to write such flattering and generous words about my posts. All I know is that I try to do the item justice.
Your posts are always well-done, too. Your sincerity and opinion shine through.
At this time in my life, it takes a jacket with magnetic appeal to make me notice it and buy it. This particular jacket possesses a certain something that the French refer to as je ne sais quoi, if I remember correctly. It has a mysterious "it" appeal.

I don't know about the rest of you, but sometimes I have to give an item a chance. How many times have I come to this forum to crow about how much I am in love with a new item that Louis just featured on his blog?
Then I buy it, receive it and find that it simply does not work for me.
The Riding Jacket did not capture my interest at first because, well, it was a jacket that could complete a suited look. But then I looked at it more carefully, had its matching skirt at home and wondered about it.
Ordered it and fell in love with it.
This happened to me with the Linea Printed Kimono. Horizontal stripes? "Nevah!"

First, I snapped up the Tropical on Linea As-Is, then I bought Blue Bayou at full price and, finally, I found Desert on eBay. You sometimes don't know what you will like and what will become you.
