Hi ladies,

Like some of you, I'm finally purchasing Linea pieces I've had my eye on but didn't purchase yet, mainly for budgetary reasons.  I have bought so much this season!!   I do finally want to try the suede pants since it's my last chance to get them.  I generally wear bootcut type pants and also wear heels with pants unless I'm wearing sneakers with jeans, so don't usually get a petite length. I am 5'5" and my inseam is about 27 1/2".  Do you think I should get the petite version of Louis's slim suede pants since they are the slim leg style? A391004/A391006

Also, I have been wanting to try the double layer pants A378746/A378747.  Does anyone have these?   Curious how they run since I am in between sizes and I can't see the click here measurements.  Since I want to wear these with heels, should I go for the regular or petite?

Sorry to ask such a question when we are all upset over the loss of Linea. I did express my displeasure via the Feedback link someone posted.  Not getting my hopes up but keeping my fingers crossed.  Even though I only started acquiring Linea about six years ago, I've acquired a nice wardrobe and will miss adding to it.  I dread shopping anywhere else except for jeans and such.

Linea petite is 27 inches, regular 30 inches.

If you don't mind them 1/2 inch too short with flats and shorter with heels, go with the 27.

I'd go with the 30 inches, then shorten.  You could add a break so they are long enough to wear with heels, but you'd have to try it first by pinning the hems up.  Since they are so narrow at the bottom, a break might not work well.  Breaks work best with straight legged pants.

Thank you so much for replying.  I appreciate it.  I'm afraid the petite might be a tad short.   Maybe I will have to get the regular length them hemmed.

I am 5'5 1/2" and wear the petite in the suede.  Of course, that is with flats, which is all I wear.  No heels for me

Not sure if that helps, since you want to wear heels.  They aren't short at all on me probably because of the stretchy material.

Hmm. Maybe I'll just have to get both or buy one and put the other on check hold while I figure it out.  I don't want to miss out getting the correct size.  Thanks so much for your input!

I am 5'3" and the petite is the perfect length for me with flats or can be tucked into boots nicely.  You will have to decide based on where you like the hem to be with what type of shoe or boot you wear.  Perhaps one in each length to see?

Perhaps since today is the last day of free shipping, I should just get one of each to see what works best.  Thanks!

@crazycockermom - I hope you did get both to try! I'm shorter than you (5'3-1/2"), but I'm long legged. The regular inseam on these is perfect for me, but some inseams are just a little off. I can tell you from experience that sometimes I've ordered petite because they were just a little shorter. And I've always regretted it! Now I will order the 31 or 32 inseam and get them shortened. That has always worked better for me.

I have also ordered pants in both petite and regular to see which works better! Good luck!

Thanks for your input!  Yes I did end up ordering both to try.   Pants can be such a tricky fit for me so I hope one of them works!
