I depend heavily on petites. I'm 4'11" and telling me, "Oh you can just hem them" isn't completely accurate. I have a 26" inseam. Hemming doesn't alter the fact that the rise in regular lengths is halfway down my thigh. It's a costly pant, and as another poster said, having to spend another $30 plus for professional hemming makes it too dear.
