I have lost all respect for her over the way she handled this.

I think she's been two-faced and manipulative.

Here's the timeline:

She bungled the show but Louis behaved like a gentleman.

She tearfull apologized to Louis after the show.

On her facebook page someone said Louis was rude to her and she thanked them for their support rather than saying that she was the one who had bungled and Louis had been very patient.

I posted on her facebook that I didn't think it was right of her to thank someone who called Louis rude rather than explaining the true set of circumstances.

Many of us posted that we didn't think Louis had been rude.

She responded with "don't blame me, I try hard, I'm so tired, I'm a new mom". She never took resposibility for what happened and acknowledged that Louis hadn't been rude.

Now she's removed most of the posts but left the post of the person saying Louis was rude and a new one from the same person who is now ripping into me.

She has removed the posts that supported Louis and left the post that trashes him.

We are all trying to give her the benefit of the doubt but I find this disturbing.

How weird.  I just looked at her FB page and a poster responds to someone (assuming it's you) whose post is non-existent.  If she's going to remove those posts that don't agree with her, she should also remove the one that addresses you.

Louis said she apologized and this could have all been over if not for the inept way she has responded.

Additionally, I have children and even I get tired of hearing about busy moms and how tired they are.  They act like having children and a family equates to dealing with some dreadful disease or something.  How sad.  Gabrielle manages it; Amy manages it.  Many, many people have children for heavens sake!

@Tadaki Yes, it would have been okay if she had handled it differently.

Re: Linea show today

[ Edited ]

And dear @Tadaki I don't know if I ever properly thanked you when you supported me regarding the issue with the other host who I won't even mention. I really appreciated that you actually understood what I was saying and supported me in it. Thank you!

Ever since that I have really tried to not get into anything regarding the hosts. The only reason I got into this was to defend Louis who I think is a very kind and gifted man.

I think she has made it worse for herself by trying to blame Louis.  He was not rude.  Everyone makes mistakes and she made a lot of them on that show.  She should have apologized on air.  As someone else mentioned, other hosts have young children and they do their job.  She claims she prepared for the show, but not to know the name of the line (which certainly isn't new to QVC) and Louis' name  is showing no preparation at all.  Plus she talked over him a lot, made excuses, etc.   Taking it to Facebook was also unprofessional, I think.   QVC made a big deal of her coming back (even though I don't know that she had even been on much) after her leave.

I think that before her first hosting stint with Louis, Ms. Zell should have been required to watch videos of seasoned hosts, such as Jayne Brown and Leah, doing Linea shows the way they should be done!

Furthermore, this should be the policy for all new hosts before they work with a classic designer for the first time, IMO.

It should be the norm to watch videos of any seasoned host on how to interact with any of the vendors. You are there to assist the vendor or ask pertinent questions, not interrupt with: ‘only 3 dozen left’ or putting the vendor’s clothes on yourself that doesn’t flatter the clothing you are selling.
