Re: Inspiration for the Riviera Maya Necklace Set

Yes I remember seeing that when I went to Anguilla!  Such a beautiful place and the people too.  It's too beautiful not to bounce back from the hurricane.

I wound up getting the silver & gold, but that copper is beautiful. That's the one you bought, right?

Did you decide to get the Big Deal shirt?

I'm in love with the fern green outfit Kate was wearing! Stunning in all colors, but I'm drawn to that deep, rich green. Also have the blue (like a Dresden pattern) jacket on my Wish List.  Plus, I know the striped blouse will be calling my name in at least one color tomorrow. There is some serious ordering going on during this visit. Louis, you are rough on my VISA card, but you keep me looking like a million dollars!

Re: Inspiration for the Riviera Maya Necklace Set

I rationalize my buying so much by thinking of the great value, and how much something similar would cost in a store, if you could find anything similar. The Big Deal is an incredible buy. I bought three, Ivory, turquoise and pink. My husband and I are going to Calfornia and then to Mexico. I thought these would be perfect.

@anniebethsmom  Oh, I do hope Louis reads these blogs and realizes how much he and his line mean to us! He must enjoy our crazy comments about "discipline" and his clothes "speaking" to us! Hopefully, he sees some of his line being worn around PA or CT and admires his work on real figures. In reality, the Linea line is worn around the world . . . it travels so well. Hope Louis grins all the way to the bank. Smiley LOL

@anniebethsmom HaHa! I've come to accept this as my one and only (thank heavens) "addiction"...lol. I rather enjoy my seat on the "bad girls bench," because I get to be there in the lovliest of company (with LL's like you, @Maxine49 et al) and I get to look good in RL wearing an iconic designer's creations. All good Smiley Happy

I read that the people who worked there at Cap Jaluca and who were out of work due to the destruction got jobs there cleaning up and tearing down the damaged parts of the hotel.  It is not being rebuilt exactly as it was before---for example, there was a restaurant called Blue that was open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and seems it was the centerpiece of the place that is being replaced with a new 2 story building with rooms. So it seems other than the beachfront, much will be changed from what Louis and Jac knew and loved. I doubt he'll go back anyway---how could he without his darling Jac! I think you are so right Sheesh. I doubt Louis would ever want to go back there without his Jac. I think if they are changing it it would be very upsetting, and I’m sure he would not want to see this. Better to have his beautiful memories.

Re: Inspiration for the Riviera Maya Necklace Set

@Maxine49- Thanks so much for the info!   I've been going to St. Maarten annually for the past 25 years and take the ferry over to Anguilla.  I am sure a lot will be different when I go back.  I was so heartbroken and devastated thinking of all the people I know there when the hurricane hit.

Louis will always have such fond and happy memories with Jac in Anguilla such a beautiful inviting place.
