This certainly was a fantastic Fall collection.  This was one of the years that Louis skewed more to a neutral palette -- with the vivid exception of his majestic Plum.   We have previously noted and written about Louis's nod to neutrals every couple of years on this forum.

I shudder to think what I would have spent had he highlighted an array of blackened vibrant colors.  This "off" year for me was costly enough.  That Plum is absolutely regal and rich. 

Those of you who are able to wear his focus colors for Fall/Winer, well, what can I say.  I've been in your shoes before.  You buy what you can and what flatters you when they are available.

Have no regrets!

I have always loved Linea ever since I became aware of it, and it has easily become the only apparel I buy. Maybe on the rarest ocassion I will pick up something else I see, but Linea is the core of my wardrobe. Between the clothing, the jewelry and the tights I really have no need or desire to shop anywhere else. I don't know what I would do if he ever retires, perish the thought! I wish he would do shoes! I would love a pair of bisque, plum and grey boots!!

I own that plaid jacket that was presented yesterday.  

This one:

I have it in the white colored one.  It's almost all sold out.

I also have a lot of his window jackets.  I'm one of the people who begged to have Louis show it again.  

I still had two from years back and I bought 2 more (different colors) when it was recently presented.

I have so many closets full of clothes.  I recently donated to Goodwill and friends of friends I think my daughter said it easily around 26 full huge trash bags of clothes.

None were Louis' clothes (even if I've outgrown them I refuse to give them away.

You know I showed my daughters who were helping me pack up the clothes and move them to different closets that I could pick out pieces that were Louis' clothes....

Guess what!  They lost the bet.  I knew exactly what were Louis' pieces because they totally stand out.

I can do that (but not quite as well) many of Isaac's pieces but only because they're very very colorful.

Louis' clothes transcend yesterday and can follow into today and tomorrow.  They never look like yesterday's fashion.

@JustJazzmom thanks, Jazz.  I did watch as the world turns.  I went to Catholic school and came home for lunch and the nuns were concerned that we would watch the soap opera while we were home for lunch.  The inquisition we faced when we returned at 1 p.m. was extensive.  We, however, did not admit we watched.  I think it was 8th grade.
