Anyone else using ThredUP to sell/buy Linea?

I saw it mentioned on the news, online and most recently in the fashion forum, so I gave it a shot and just received an oldie but a goodie pair of knit Linea pants.  Mine were so worn and I was looking for a new pair to replace for the cooler weather that is coming.

Happy to report that the pants arrived in near new condition. I am thrilled.  I ordered a bag and will send some items to sell.

For those interested it's threadUp with usual before and afters.

@NJgirl 1205 - how does thredup work?  You send a bag in and it is like a consignment -  i.e. you get paid if your item sells?  And how long is it for sale?  TIA!

Re: Anyone else using ThredUP to sell/buy Linea?

Here's my problem, I have been burned by consignment shops locally.  I tried to contact ThedUp and there was no online phone number.  I sent three messages. No reply. I found the phone number online and called.  Automated message... they will get back to me.  Honestly I cannot deal that way.

I googled reviews and what I found was sad and enough for me to sell my stuff, hopefully on Ebay.  I just was lazy I guess and did not want to bother. So this ThredUp is not for me.

II need to get rid of an entire closet.  I am retired and I have clothes that I will never wear and they are really nice.

I have no experience selling as I have only purchased one item as I mentioned.  I did just order "a bag", as they call it and will send in a few things to sell.  I will try it out and see how it goes.   Will definitely be keeping an eye out for Linea and other goodies.

There is a video on the website illustrating how it works.

I googled them and boy there are a lot of complaints from very unhappy sellers.  I would be very careful when dealing with them.

Thanks KathyPet, yes, I saw.  My buying experience was great but maybe I will rethink sending anything...

Wow...didnt see Linea listed in their list of designers avsisble for sale. Just found out about this site and am selling some Jcrew sweaters...I am very easy on clothes, probably have too many. But I need to get rid of things and this seemed great way. Especially new things I never wore.

I didn't see it in the list but if you type it into search they will come up - that is, those items which are for sale.

Re: Anyone else using ThredUP to sell/buy Linea?

I had received their information from Macy's and ordered the bag/kit to use.  After reading more, I realized I didn't have items that were "high end" enough to sell  so I donated what I had.  I do have a lot of Linea, but they are keepers.

Re: Anyone else using ThredUP to sell/buy Linea?

i am going to gather some items together and send them in one of their bags. i am curious to see how much i will get for them. i have some susan graver items, some linea, and more. better to get a bit of money for them than have them sitting in my closet.

we also have pop up consignment events in our area every season. those are good also, but it is a lot of work hauling the clothes there and then hauling them back if you dont want to donate them. good thing though is you tag and price them yourself, but that takes some time also.
