I find the logo click here measurements to be a good guide;  but whenever they are really off, as in the case of larger gaping armholes, I get my money back.

I have only had one problem with the click here measurements:  A236704.  I ordered XL per the click here measurements and the waist was HUGE.  Exchanged for L and the fit is PERFECT.

I also find the click here measurements to be very accurate and was surprised when I was rebuked for "relying" on those measurements and was actually told it's "trial and error" and use the return/exchange policy.

I will always use the click here measurements as a guideline and compare it to the perfect fit of current peices I own from the same line with the same fabric composition.  That's why I sized up for the TSV based on the back measurements.

Anyone out there size up 2 sizes on the layers tanks?

I am interested in A282742 and I always size up to a large in layers for comfort but I would like to wear these tanks as my outside layer and tend to shy away from doing that everytime I go up only on size. If I go up 2 sizes is it going to be way too long with huge arm holes?

Also for anyone considering the TSV, what would you think about going down a size? I like the cardigan and "need" (LOL!) a topaz color but I don't care for the way it looks so sloppy on the models. Maybe going one smaller than normal would help? Thoughts?

By "outside layer", do you mean on its own or over another top?

I think any of those tanks over a short-sleeve or elbow-sleeve top would look very nice and "on trend" as they say in marketing.

If you mean on its own or under a cardi or vest, I wouldn't size up.  In fact, I'd try sizing down unless you already have a tank & cardi/vest that you can "test" to see how it looks/fits.

To clarify, @elrager stated that she always "sizes up" for Layers.  My comment about "sizing down" meant order M instead of her usual "sized up" L.

Also, I do find it interesting that on other threads I have been repeatedly "reminded" that the "click here" measurements aren't accurate, yet in response to @elrager's question, she is being told to use the "click here" measurements.

@ErikaShops365  Absolutely correct and I will continue with both pieces of advice.  I have found the Click measurements to be correct (thus far) on the Layers tanks,  but  the Click measurements are not always reliable for other pieces.  There are many LOGO items where the Click measurements have been misleading and people have had to return items they ordered based on the Click measurements.

So,  I'm glad you find my posts "interesting" and there is a perfectly good explanation for why I posted what I did in each case.

Your advice  to @elrager to "size down" did not indicate to me to get one's regular size.  Good for her sake that you clarified it.

I would sure love it if this board had a private messaging function.

If you click the Today's Special Value preview link on the home page, you can see the faux suede pretty clearly - it's quite wide at the bottom.  I don't like the drape on the sides of the jacket - it's too much for me.   At 5'3" I think this garment would overwhelm me and not be flattering.  That, and I don't need it.  It's a definitely pass for me.

@Pearlee - I'm on the fence with the TSV.  Either way, usually TSVs seem to hang around for a long time and could probably be picked up on an As Is in the future.  And I sure don't need it either.  Still thinking.

I agree @Pearlee it does look wide. I remember when I clicked on the link from an e-mail I thought it looked beautifully made. I don,t "need" it as much as that blackberry leopard tank thoughSmiley Happy

@Biftu  This is definitely true!!  The spring Fr. terry cardi TSV with frou frou is only $29 as is (available in a lot of colors and sizes)  and is substantially redudced non-As Is.

Re: LOGO TSV DAY MONDAY AUG. 15

@Biftu  Oh, and as I posted here recently, I ended up getting last year's faux suede TSV - in two colors - at $39.00.  I also remember having had to size down to a small in that one, which looks like that might be the case for this one too.  Doesn't matter though since I'm not getting it, but it will be interesting to read the reviews later.

@Pearlee - I also have last year's TSV in two colors.  I got one at that great price.  I wore them quite a bit.  The reviews will be interesting on this new TSV.

Thanks for the reminders about past TSVs hanging around so long and being discounted. I need to keep reminding myself of that. It will be at least another two months (maybe longer) before I can wear that cardigan here. I need to chill and wait for the reviews and the "as is" discount.
