sugar snap peas ?

I bought some sugar snap peas at Costco--first time I ever had them. I steamed them and put some butter and salt on them. They had absolutely no taste. Is that the way they usually are? I have quite a bit left and was wondering how everyone else cooks them. I'd like some flavor--any recipes? TIA
