[hunt and peck]

I remember buying these at the bakery counter in grocery stores but can't find them anymore.  Are they too difficult to make or store properly?

@hunt and peck  They sell them in my neck of the woods in grocery stores & bakeries.

My father who did all the cooking made sticky buns from scratch every weekend.  He made the kind in your photo & some w/white vanilla cream sauce on top.

If you want the absolute cheat, get the Pillsbury ones and instead of the included frosting, use maple syrup and pecans to top them.

I don't think its maple syrup.  I looked up a recipe for the topping.  It is carmel instead.

• For the Caramel-Pecan Topping:
• ½–¾ cup unsalted butter
• ½–¾ cup brown sugar, packed
• ¼–½ cup honey or corn syrup
• ½–1 tsp salt
• 1–2 cups chopped pecans

@hunt and peck My grandmother used maple syrup or honey. Keep it simple.

The last time I had one, years ago, it was just a hunk of dough and sugar, and very disappointing.   

Not exactly what I'd call nutritious either, IMO.

Ina Garten has a great recipe using puff pastry.  Very easy.

You can make them using Rhodes frozen bread dough. I have a recipe if can't find one. Very easy.
