A Vita Mix is a really nice small appliance to have, but not a necessary one unless you make a lot of soups for two , smoothies or need to make nut butters. I really don't use mine as much as I thought I would, but I'm not sorry I bought it.

I have been trying to justify buying one also but I am afraid I would spend all that money and then not use it very much....I can only make so much soup and smoothies

You can use it to do food processing/chopping/grinding, make bread, nut butters (in a fraction of the time my food processor took), almond or rice milks, make flours, etc.

Hi everybody,

my 35 year old Oster mixer died recently and I don't have a blender either. Wouldn't a Vitamix be all I need to replace both items? I also wanted to make my own ice cream, thanks in advance.

I haven't used my Oster once, NOT once, since I got my VM. There's absolutely no comparison! Like comparing a Porsche to a nissan.

You can get more than 2 people in your Nissan... {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

:

Buy the Vitamix only if it will be used.... If you do not

use it it is just clutter...
