I don't use a salt box. Such as this one --

Technique Double Capacity Bamboo Salt Box

Yet, sometimes I'm tempted.

But I don't want to buy one if I could use, instead, any of my smaller -- and not currently being used.. Lock N' Locks as a salt box?

Maybe a Lock N' Lock would keep the salt as dry as a "salt box?"

And I would not have to be concerned, at all, for splashing a very pretty and obviously classy bamboo salt box if I'm using a plastic Lock N' Lock, instead.

After all, Lock N' Locks let you use just one hand to dislodge.. and then return.. each of their flaps.

My kitchen counter is pretty small. So I don't want to have to use up any counter real estate just for a salt box.

I'm also concerned that if I am always pulling down the bamboo salt box from the cabinet onto the counter and then back again once I've finished using it for that meal, then sooner or later I'll dislodge its lid and spill salt all over the place.

Right now, my table salt is still in the Morton cyclindrical heavy paper container that Morton uses for their table salt.

And label each of those two smaller Lock N' Locks for WHICH type of salt resides in it.
