When I was still teaching, one of the office secretaries, who had been employed there for many years, her family owned a Polish bakery.  Every year at this time,  she would bring in several dozens of packzi.  Some were filled with prune and others were custard or fruit filled.  They were delicious!

@silver Goldie When my mom was alive I would buy two for us and go visit her and bring coffee and chat.  I would take the afternoon off to hang with her.  I also brought lunch.  She was so funny...Somehow my brother and aunt would mysteriously be in the neighborhood that day....When the bell would ring my mom would look at me and say...Wonder who that is?  I always brought extra for them.

 

I am in sales and I take some to my customers on Tuesday morning.  I get them at a polish bakery and they just love them.  One of them is an endocrinologist and he says I keep in in business! LOL
