I've never even heard of it.   I'll have to google a commercial.

The only food sniffers I know of are my DH and my dog.

Sounds moderately interesting.   Probably wouldn't work for somebody as food-neurotic as I, because I'm so excessively sensitive.

Heck, when I'm not sure if milk is still good people say to smell it.  Well, for somebody like me, for whom milk is gross, it smells pretty icky (read-just as bad) when it's 'fresh'.  hehe

As my Dad aged, he would oftenopen a pack of ground beef, hand it to me and say "smell this?!"  Like WHY would I want to do that!!!?

Anyway, this device can sense the bacteria growing  BEFORE it actually starts to smell. (according to the info mercial)

Well, that DOES sound like a good idea!   It could be at that point where you might not sense it, yet if you go ahead and eat it you could be sorry.

I never got the 'smell this' thing either.  YOU smell it!  Smiley Happy  heh

I saw part of that commercial just this morning, too!  I wonder if it is a good item?  There is also a website that is helpful for knowing how long foods are good for eating:
