Hi all .... I make a meal once a week for an elderly neighbor in my building who has Parkinson's and part of this week's meal is cooked carrots. She can't eat corn, so I've been making mostly green things, plus wax beans when they have fresh ones at the store. So, this week I decided, to add more color I'd make cooked carrots - crispy, not too cooked. Now, I love them raw, but I hate them cooked unless they're in something like orange juice and ginger, or honey. So, today at the store I got a jar of Duck Sauce thinking that if I microwaved the carrots in that plus a bit of orange juice, that might be really good.
What do you all think? Does it sound good or nasty?
