I don't worry about what others spend on pies, lipstick, blush, handbags, cars, houses, or anything else.  That doesn't have anything to do with me.

I've been poor, and I've had a decent living.  Still me, and how I spend my money is I'm sure nuts to someone else whether I'm a cheapskate or a reckless spender.

Lots of people pay that and more for pies. I typically pay $28 for a pie at a local restaurant. Their pies are delicious.

There are several local farms neaby that sell pies around the holidays.  They are around $20.00

I used to buy mini pies from Walmart's bakery. They were pretty good, especially the pecan and the pumpkin mini pies. They cost less than $1 ! Their 10-inch pies are less than $8 and as I recall the apple pies were very good, too.

ETA-

Walmart has a bakery inside their store. Products are fresh.

No one is bashing.  Once again just stating an OPINION about an ITEM.  No drama that I can see.

Pies are unhealthy, so why not just save your money and avoid them altogether? Win - win.

If you want to send a pie to someone, this isn't a bad way to go.  If you're looking for dessert, you'd best go to a local bakery or make the pie yourself.  Smiley Happy

People please.

Not everyone wants to or can bake.

 Not everyone  has access to Walmart or wants to buy anything there. (The closest one to me is 30 miles away and I have never been there).

Some send food gifts to others living far away.

By all means have your opinion, but some of us (ie me) are tired of the same complaints.  The Q wouldn't sell them if they weren't profitable for them.

@Tori3569

I'm not saying that people should buy a pie from Walmart's bakery. It was an option I gave. Walmart delivers pies to your doorstep if you want to order one. No need to drive that far.
