I agree that all food prices seem way overpriced. But for those willing to pay for them, or have no alternate way of shopping for some of these items, it's nice that they are offered.

Why is it so "shameful"???  Like any other product there are less and more expensive ways to purchase.  They (QVC) are just selling the product and while they can offer a little bit of a value, the company brand really sets the price.  It's up to the consumer to decide.

Not true at all. The company with the product (the vendor), whether it's KC Steaks, Rastelli Meats, Mrs. Prindables or some other food company does NOT set the price. QVC is HUGE and it's the one with all the negotiating power. QVC tells the vendor what it (QVC) will pay for a given product. The vendor can take the deal or leave it. I've also read that QVC (and likely HSN as well) is a very difficult negotiator. It wants to buy a product from a vendor for as low as a price as it can possibly get so it (QVC) can set the price they want and maximize their profit.

Totally agree with you MaxxieMoo. QVC's  prices on the majority of their food products are skyhigh and unwarranted. When you break the price down to per ounce/pound, you can really see how much you are being ripped off.
