I know this has come up in many posts but I dont really know how to filter and find those. So please bear with me. I am planning on having a large Thanksgiving dinner with many friends. My turkey normally goes into the oven so it can cook golden brown. But this year I want to try to make more oven type casseroles than I normally do. I think I need some sort of "second" oven so I can bake these. None of these can be baked ahead of time then reheated. My oven is not big, and usually will fit only my 20 to 24 pound turkey. I need additional oven room for about 3 maybe 4 casserole dishes. Think the old Corningware type casserole dish size. This year my friends either can't travel to family or don't have their own ways to cook. I can only think of a countertop type oven. Do you have any suggestions?

I'm not sure if any of the countertop ovens would hold multiples of the corning pans...today on ITKWD they showed a Breville XL oven that held 3 Temp-Tations 1 qt. bread sized pans. Unfortunately, it sold out, but is available at chefscatalog.com for the same price (minus the breadboard). I would really like one if I had the space and money, LOL.
Does your menu include anything that could be done in a slow cooker (if you have one)? I've made a crockpot stuffing and make ahead mashed potatoes using slow cookers. If you want the recipes, give me a shout.
Otherwise, my BIL/SIL swear by their Black and Decker convection oven which I believe is reasonably priced but am not sure if it's roomy enough for you.
Hope this helps!

The Breville oven featured on David's show today is A-1 First Class, the best I've ever used. It sold out but it's available many other places at the same price. I got mine at Amazon (free shipping). You can get a 9x13 pan without handles in it easily.

Me, too!
I had always liked my Black & Decker toaster ovens, then eventually switched to their great toaster oven / convection oven combo.
And yes, it's very reasonably-priced. 8)

I've attached links to allrecipes.com as they don't cut & paste easily. The stuffing is a standard bread stuffing - I leave out the mushrooms, but don't see why you can't doctor them up with other ingredients if you so choose.
The Party Potatoes recipe shows it being baked in an oven, but I searched several other slow cooker potato recipes that were similar and it was suggested to cook them in the crock pot on low for 2-3 hours.

I was looking at countertop ovens recently at Costco, where they had two different brands....don't remember exactly what they were, but one might have been a Cuisineart and it really looked good. None I've seen are big enough to handle a couple dishes at once, though, if that's what you need.
I'd like to have one of those ovens, too, but can't reconcile myself to having this rather large extra appliance sitting out on the countertop all the time. Do think I would actually use it all the time, though, so am still thinking it over.
Good luck with your proposed purchase and your big feast.
EDIT: Costco's website has a broad selection of countertop ovens and some reviews for them. One of them is a rather large convection model with a turkey shown cooking in it.

I purchased a Breville oven a few years ago for this very reason. I got the largest one and love it! It holds a 9x13 lasagane pan and has two racks. BBB carry this line and when you have a coupon it makes a great deal! QVC has it in inventory as well and sometimes on easy pay. I use mine for baking pies and extra room for holiday meals. I love the convection feature and the the knob system on the oven. It works great!!!
