looking for an online source for great dried cherries

is it Michigan or Minnesota that's supposed to grow the best cherries? dried cherries are hard to find in my area. the ones that I do find are in tiny bags and cost a fortune. even the whole food store here sells them for an outrageous price. I want to find some really great dried cherries for a reasonble price. any of you northern/midwest girls here have any suggestions?
