Re: kitchen aid multi cooker

On the KA site it's $400; QVC's selling it for $350.  Don't know about shipping charges.

Re: kitchen aid multi cooker

The one on the KA website that is $100 less does NOT include the stirring attachment.  The equivalen model there is quite a bit more than QVC's price.

Additionally, very few manufacturers will undercut retailers' pricing.  The primary reason this occurs is that if it were cheaper to purchase from the manufacturer, consumers would shop thee rather than retailers, eliminating the need to retailers who are primarily responsible for distribution.

In Kentucky, for instance, I can purchase bourbon directly from distilleries that are open to the public, but it will always be cheaper to buy it at the liquor store.

Once again, a post comparing apples and oranges?

I do wish posters would do their research carefully - and if they don't care about the extras included in QVC's prices, just tell us about the differences.

Amazon has the basic model (# KMC4241CA) in three colors, for $249 and free shipping.

I was intrigued by that til i glanced at the price - holy cow! Unless it shops at the grocery store, preps the food and makes all the sides AND does the dishes - no way for me. I can stir my food myself.
