Lucky you!

I was craving some concord grape juice and bought some yesterday, no comparison to fresh fruit though!

@Pooky1Ah, A sure sign fall is here.  I miss the scent of Concord grapes on the vine on a fall afternoon.  It was an annual thing during my childhood.  That and raking leaves.  Raking, Raking, Raking....

@Pooky1,

Just thinking about eating grapes straight from the grapevine makes me smile!   My Grandpa had beautiful grapevines on the farm, and my brothers and I couldn't wait to pull clusters of those big, juicy Concord grapes off to eat.  We just couldn't get enough of those fresh grapes!   Even the memories of those terrible belly aches didn't stop us from eating more grapes!  Enjoy!

My grandfather had an arbor with Concord grapes all over it.  We'd squeeze out the pulp and discard the skin, swallowing the pulp whole (i.e. with seeds and without chewing).  Is that what everyone does, or do some people chew them like other grapes?

@Pooky1 Oh, for sure! We had a concord grape vine when I was young. Delicious! And making grape jelly was fun! When we built our house, we decided to do a type of pink table grape. Big mistake. It gets black rot every year.Smiley Sad
