frothing

anyone have experience with buying 'frothers' ? I see there are many options from a few $s on to $50. +. I just like (especially in cold weather) a cup of sweetened flavored decaf with frothy 1% milk in the afternoons. I have been nuking the milk a bit then using my immersion blender and yesterday used the blade for whipping cream on a 'magic bullet' (one of the few things it does well) These have been satisfactory ways, but just wondered if any one had any experience with the items made just for frothing? I searched the forums and didn't see many comments.
