Do you wash fresh herbs before using?

Always. I rinse then gently squeeze out the water with a paper towel. You can see the "dirt" in the paper towel. I can't imagine not cleaning herbs.

@bargainsgirl - I do, even if they're prewashed and in a plastic container.  Smiley Happy

Yes!  Think of what could be on them.

Yes--but just before I use them----don't wash and then store--for me they go bad too soon. I have a pot of fresh herbs on my deck that are doing very well so I have access to the really fresh ones now.

I have a herb garden and I know they don't have pesticides, but I always rinse and dry before using.  It's about that time to start drying them and giving some to friends for the winter months.

@brandiwine   I have some huge rosemary plants in my garden.  I.m going to try freezing some.  Have never done that before.  Have you ever frozen rosemary?  Would you wash it before freezing.
