Maybe I am in the minority in trusting the description over the picture of an item. qvc does sell many 12"" covered skillets and I guess they would rather have my husband and I complain on all the social media sites we can rather than offer to fix THEIR mistake and offer to send a comparable product. I've been a customer for 20+ years and will not spend my money with qvc anymore.

what? The box doesn't list the skillet and QVC's item description does? So whoever listed the item made a mistake. I am sure they will pay for the return shipping of the set so you've lost nothing. You would go to all the social media sites and stop buying after 20 years because someone listed a mistake? How could they possibly make this right in your opinion? Tell you to keep the set and then send you a 12"" skillet from another line free of charge?

Re: false advertising and no customer service

I'm confused. Did QVC not offer to refund the purchase price and shipping of this item? You just said they told you to "mail it back", so I wasn't sure. It would seem that a complete refund would be adequate customer service(?) What more is it that you were expecting?

I've dealt with defective products in the past, and have always been very satisfied with Q's customer service.

Call cs back. I have found that one cs rep has more knowledge than another rep. QVC isn't what it used to be in cs dept.

They can't send what they don't have. I think they are fair offering to take back the set, which may be used by now.

Re: false advertising and no customer service

It's clearly a typo. I've only ordered one thing with mis information, but I went by the picture over the description so I wasn't disappointed.

Picnic, I would send it back. Amazon is showing that set for $149.00. The 17 piece set is the one that has the 12 inch covered skillet. I would be disappointed too. You know you are going to need that 12 inch skillet.

I can see why you are disappointed but they cannot send you what they do not have. If they offered to pay return shipping what more can you ask for. I doubt very much they care if you complain about them on social media.......

Unfortunately typos happen. Sounds like you should take them up on the offer to mail it back.

I would be disappointed too, but I don't think it's false advertising. It's a mistake. The picture shows one thing and the written description says another.

If it were me, and I liked the set otherwise, I would keep it. That's actually a good price for a high end set, even without the 12 inch skillet.
