We had a simple one and I never got the hang of packing the coffee in the thing.  Hated it.

We have had a fancy one, which is ok but I am in love love love with Nespresso!  The ONLY downside I can even think of would be if you object to the cost of the capsules--and they are a lot cheaper now and the original line (small ones) are available in lots and lots of places.

The Nespresso site has great sales and deals on the machines often.  I would buy from there I think since they apparently have great customer service.  Haven't really had to deal with them and we have had a lot of machines in offices and at home.

@Sooner

We had Nespresso coffee at a restaurant last week and it was so good, thinking about getting one to replace our Keurig, just thinking right now

I bought one last year as a gift, nothing but trouble with it.

I'm going to agree with everyone else. If you want ease of use and excellent quality just go with the capsule pods. I have two Nepresso models but always seem to grab the Pixie. (Though I think it's close to double in price since I bought it years, and years, and years ago.) Pods are so easy to find, even at a Target where I often buy the Peet's but I'm fortunate, at least last time I was there seven months ago, to have a Nespresso kiosk a my local mall.

We have a Nespresso that we bought here on QVC maybe 2 years ago when it was a Big Deal, and got a great price, and I love it! I purchase my coffee from Nespresso dot com, very quick, easy, fast shipping and great customer service! We also have a Keurig, and we alternate depending on what we feel like!

I secojd the nespresso. I have the vertuo, but the original. is more economival.You have more and cheaper options, and the pods can be hacked/reused.

Try the moka pot. It's a stove top version that is relatively inexpensive compared to espresso machines, and they last a long time.

Don't completely dismiss this option but for total ease of use, no capsules, no packing, and low cost (relatively for this kind of product) consider an entry level super automatic made by Philips.  Also Amazon's Prime Day is coming up in a couple weeks so you just might be able to get one at an extra good price although more than a Nespresso.  it will give you excellent drinks at the touch of a button.  Check out videos at Youtube or Seattle Coffee Gear dot com.

 It's so easy to use, the extra expense is worth it and you get to use your choice of beans (not dark roast/oily).  Beans on package should say if they are are safe for super automatice machines.  Oil gums them up.

@Free2be My husband has a super automatic and you are right about it not being fond of the super dark roasts. You have to clean it more often.  But he is in LOVE LOVE with that machine! And people who come visit think is is great too.  Good hint about looking at those.

The Nespresso I have doesn't have those issues.  Hubby uses it quite a bit for coffee (Americanos) and cappuccino too.
