I was supposed to get my TSV LocknLock set today—fast shipping, right?!—via UPS but the package never came. I just checked the status and found these details:

09/07/2023   7:31 AM   Due to weather, your package is delayed by one business day
09/07/2023   7:21 AM   Arrived at Facility - [City, ST], United States

The weather today? A warm but not too hot 85 degrees, a gorgeous clear blue sky with just a few wispy clouds, and a very light, refreshing breeze. Maybe the "weather event" was that they had too many drivers take the day off to go play golf... 

ETA: I will never need another LocknLock piece in my whole life, but I just had to get the final set put together by Chris Pryme, especially since she brought back my favorite Royal Blue.

@loriqvc. Maybe your driver is one of those whose truck has not yet been air conditioned?

@loriqvc  Same here I like Royal Blue and the intent of getting this set is to reorganize all my LnL's and keep the colors I really like.

I also went to Joann's fabrics & bought large cellophane gift bags and will make up 2 or 3 gift bags topped with a big bow for friends.  I like how they did that on set.

@Kachina624 - I'm sure that's the case; even with all the discussions on the subject, it seemed like UPS wasn't setting a very aggressive timeline for retrofitting its trucks. But I'm also guessing the drivers aren't the ones who choose which packages get on their trucks and which don't...

@rockygems123 - I had to really work hard to stop myself from buying multiple sets, especially since each set is already multiple sets; it's tough to resist such a bargain, but my cabinets are just about bursting with LocknLock. And I think I've purchased enough for friends and family for awhile, too!

Hi, @Kachina624.

I live in southern Arizona, & always felt bad for the USPS postal workers who delivered the mail. (Still do)

Then, all of the mail cars got a/c, & I talked to my neighborhood mailman about it. He said that the difference was negligible because of the way they drive it - frequent stopping & never long enough for the a/c to kick in.

@sabatini.  That's what I said when the AC issue was first mentioned.  If the vehicle engine is not running at street speed, the AC won't cool plus they're constantly opening doors and windows.

UPDATE: Well, UPS stuck to the amended schedule and brought my package today; the weather is a carbon copy of yesterday, so the system message and delay is still amusing, but I'll happily take delivery of an order on Friday that was placed on Sunday.

@loriqvc   Received my set yesterday, how about you?

I love the royal blue, wasn't sure it would be the same semi-transparent color as when purchased years ago...I thought that one was just called Blue but it looks about the same.

My color pairing is with the blue and golden sand and I think I'll keep those colors for the most part and give away the rest.  Will see how long that lasts!
