"I, too, received it broken in a lot of little pieces. The four dishes shouldn't be packaged in the bottom of the large bowl. Will try one more time to get delivered. Very disappointed. It is a beautiful set...hurt my heart to see it in so many little pieces. One star because I can't use it."

Hi Ladies(and guys if there are any). I didn't come on here to add to the argument. I just wanted to say that in my experience, I think its just the "luck of the draw." I say that bc a girlfriend and I both started collecting TT at the same time a few yrs ago. I've had a total of 3 pieces crack on me(2 OW and 1 PD). These were all purchased within the last year. The stuff I bought at the beginning has been fine. Those are a mixture of OW and FL. None of my FL have crazed or cracked(hope I didn't just jinx myself {#emotions_dlg.blink}). Anyway, my friend hasn't had any of her TT fail her. I told her she's really lucky bc she's not out of $ like I am. Those items taught me a lesson...I will not be ordering anymore of her stuff. I work way too hard to keep buying stuff that you "roll the dice on." When my first piece cracked in the oven(a PD lid-it), I did bite the bullet bc I was so upset and got the replacement. Well, it came and I've not had an issue w/it, however, it was a lighter color than the 9x13 that was in the original set. So that just added to the frustation & disappointment.

It also boggles my mind as to why people would keep purchasing..especially after they have piece after piece fail, but I guess people have different levels as to which they reach that point where they've had enough. It kind of reminds me of a cousin I have. She complains everytime she goes to a particular fast food restaurant, but she continues going. According to her, they can never get anything right, but its not enough of an annoyance to make her just go somewhere else. When it comes to TT, I'm just not willing to take that chance anymore.

Just making a comment. I have ordered dishes and tableware from.various companies, and have had many instances when they've arrived broken, or some pieces were broken. One example is the Winterberry holiday dinnerware from Pfaltzgraff. I hardly ever get an order from.them in which EVERYTHING arrives intact. But I.just call, and they send out replacements, nearly always better packed, lol. Smiley Happy

so, you dont think that there could be people buying and using temptations pieces that have actually had NO problems at all? {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

sunshine45...."haters gonna hate"...as you can see, there are 3-4 posters that constanstly post here on the Temp-tation threads only to complain & to post how "horrible" the Temp-tation line is. I get stalked all the time from a couple of these posters..have been called many names..all in the name of "letting others know how bad & unsafe TT is" ...guess they have nothing better to do than to complain & try to start arguments with the Temp-tation lovers! That tells me tons about them, only here to try & start trouble and argue...Those few usually "scare" off the posters that do enjoy Temp-tations by constantly confronting them like they have you here.

Please don't think we are all like that...I am glad you like & enjoy your TT!! And if you feel comfortable to post anything more, please do!

gkelly, no worries......and thanks, i do enjoy all of my old AND new temptations items! if i have a problem with an item i do leave a review reflecting that. while the corn items may need repackaging, i dont necessarily agree that that makes it a terrible product, especially if qvc is willing to send out replacement orders. i have had problems with other lines before (like vph) where half of the items were broken, but i really did love the product. qvc was good about giving me a partial refund AND sending me out a new set that i wanted. it did not cost me any extra.

now i am hoping she expands the dragonfly line! i am also hoping she does some more modern looking items. i am not a big fan of the old world pattern. i have collected some of the more simple solid pieces in white and colors, the wild garden pattern, another raised floral pattern (forgot the name), and the poppies.

I tried three times to get an unbroken one no luck. It is a beautiful piece but needs to be packed better for shipping. All three I received were broken exactly the same. The top piece was fine but all three bottoms were broken. Too bad!!

Pudding 98!! Great to see you on here, seems like it has been awhile.

I didn't think the corn set was all that until people started posting pics on the various FB pages, and it is indeed very pretty. Something more than that, almost artistic.

But many people on the FB pages have said the same as you. They tried to get the piece and it arrived broken time after time. That is so expensive for any company to deal with. You'd think it would be cheaper to halt shipping, open up the sets and repack them before sending out again.

I'm wondering if this set might be the first in a series of large figural veggies and fruits. IF so, I hope they get the packing situation under control.

hi pudding98, Seems to be a big problem with the packaging of this item. All the reviews say that it is a beautiful piece and that's why they keep re-ordering it. Sounds as if the manufacturers need to add a some extra padding if the plates are being shipped inside the bigger bowl!

Not sure what you mean when you say "all three bottoms" were broken in your case? all three bottoms? I know you ordered 3 times and had a piece or pieces received broken..were the "plates" that hold the corn broken? Just trying to understand..thanks!

I thought the corn baker looked so pretty. I didn't order as I had no need for one. Sorry for those that got their item broken.

I'm waiting for everyone who finally got an unbroken large corn server to talk about how it cracked, crazed or otherwise became unusable after a few times.

If so many broke in transit...it doesn't bode well for the items in use.

My translation of the three broken bottoms - The OP is referring to the large bottom piece of the two piece corn casserole. The bottom half of the large figural casserole is arriving broken...time and time again.
