What am I doing wrong. I can get the lever to push down. I have tried putting the onion in the first slot and then in the second slot.

Also the little that did go thru the blades was stuck in the blades. And to run the blade thru the dishwasher twice to dislodge the onion.

very frustrated right now with it.
