Mine as well, cream cheese or the coconut pecan flavored.  Do not even need a cake to go with it just ice cream and cookie works just as well.  Love and make homemade but still love the canned version.

I always add a cup or more of cool whip and a dash of vanilla to the canned frosting and whip it up until smooth and creamy. Yummy good enough to lick your beaters.

the last time i got the canned frosting, it was a small sized container (duncan hines) from the $ tree.  

it was horrid. i thought for sure, i picked up one that was out dated or something.   nope.  i think it does matter what flavor that you get.  the yucky one was vanilla i think.

i'll not make that mistake again.

I'm not going to lie, I have used canned frosting and I think it's fine for what it is.  Assuming that the taste hasn't changed since tasted it a few years ago.  I used canned frosting quite a bit back when my girls were young.  Especially the chocolate frosting.

I don't mind it at all and I'm not ashamed to admit it.   I use it as a drizzle or glaze.  I put it in the microwave till it liquifies and then drizzle it over baked goods.  Quick, easy, tasty.

The only flavor I buy is the Fluffy White; goes great on a chocolate cake.

If I need dessert for a special occasion, I buy it at a local bakery which offers the most delicious selection.  I would rather enjoy the event than fret over food.
