I'm of Irish descent so potatoes were a staple in our home.  I do not like white rice at all. On a very rare occasion I will eat brown rice.  Potatoes are my choice though.  I cannot imagine going through my life without eating a potatoe.

I like both, but potatoes are so versatile. So if I have to make a choice, potatoes it is.
