I've had Krispy Kreme a handful of times, don't live near one. I find them too sweet.  Grew up on Dunkin Donuts.  Don't currently live near one.    Always squeeze in a visit when I go home.

Krispy Kreme is my fave, but it's across town, and there are two Dunkin Donuts nearby.  One is one block north of me, the other is two blocks south.

So - Dunkin gets my donut dollars!

We usually buy donuts in the bakery section at the grocery store.

I have the pleasure of having all locally made foods where I live. I live in a small town with surrounding small towns. We don't have big brand names. But you'll never know the wonderful taste of local, mom & pop establishments. They beat out any nationally known brand of anything you buy!

The best donut shop in my area is Old Town Donuts in Florissant, MO.

 I'd rather have Dunkin Doughnuts.  ( I'd Really like to have one of the old " Time to make the donuts" donuts.)  However On the whole  I like the non-chain independant donut shops best.

KK if they are fresh and hot.  A local family owned grocery store chain has a bakery section and makes great donuts.  If you get a filled donut it has more than a 1/2 teaspoon of filling. DD are awful. at least the ones near us are.
