I just ordered this on Q2 , and I was wondering if anyone here had one , and what your experience was. I'm not expecting ice cream, just a little treat. TIA.

I got one on clearance several years ago at a local department store for 10.00 after seeing it as a TSV. I still use it a few times a year. Frozen bananas have the same texture of ice cream. I did frozen blueberries once and it stained the unit. I'm sure you could get the same effect with a good blender though.
I don't know what the newer models work like but it is a bit of a pain to get the frozen fruit out. It gets caked up inside the unit. Make sure you remove the parts when you go to serve it because half of your product is stuck in there. You have to scrap the frozen fruit out to get a bowl full. I'll be honest, I wouldn't pay 40.00 plus shipping for it. Again mine is from a few years back so it might be different now. A friend of mine liked the dessert so much she bought one called "Swirlio" at Walmart for around 25.00.

Yonanas and some of the competitor's websites have recipes.
We gave my mom the yonanas machine several years ago.
Grocery stores often have very ripe bananas on sale and my mom puts them in the freezer until she is ready to use.
She makes a large amount at one time and freezes them in paper cups.
She uses hers in the summer every other week.

I had one, bought my hair dresser and sister one, and I don't think any of us used it more than once or twice. In fact I put mine in a church flea market. I'm sure it would be good for diabetics, but it turned out to be a useless gimmick to me. But hope you enjoy yours.

I got one several years ago when they were giving out prizes on Dr. Oz...I lucked out and got one of these. I don't know what the newer ones are like but mine was very noisy! However the texture of the banana ice cream was quite remarkable! It tasted just like ice cream....very rich & creamy!
You have to take frozen bananas (or other fruit but I would always use bananas as a creamy base) out of the freezer and let it start to defrost for a few minutes so it works better in the machine. This way it's not as hard.
I actually gave my Yoannas machine away to a friend this year since we purchased a juicer that will do the same thing with frozen bananas...it's a little easier and much quieter too.

A few months ago I was in BB & B I saw 2 clearance racks of these less than $10!
Not sure what's new about it BUT another Q warehouse item probably that needs to be moved to as hosts say "make room for new products!" JMO more fashion & beauty products AS kitchen items go to the "side of the road"!
