If you don't know how to use stainless steel cookware, you should stay away. Every kitchen I have ever worked in mainly uses stainless.
If you're used to Tfal...you'll be disappointed.

I enjoy watching him. I have the grill he sold last year with the removeable grill plates that go in the dishwasher. It is just the 2 grills. It cooks a good steak or a hamburger patty very quickly and it is very good. I'm happy with it and wish I would have bought a back-up when they were on clearance. The one sold this weekend was too large for my needs.

Agree. Switched to SS a few years back and had to relearn cooking (and I still haven't mastered cooking eggs).
Any cleaning is easily done with low heat w/water and scraping. Any minor residual stains easily removed with Barkeeper's Friend.

Stainless steel is super easy to cook with...PAM. I mainly use cast iron and pre-heat and spray. I also spray non-stick. I only have one pan of non-stick, so it is an 8" omelet pan. Everything else is cast iron and stainless steel. The only time I use high heat is when boiling water or cooking corn bread when I preheat the skillet and oil to 500 before pouring in the corn bread so it fries the edges of the corn bread. I just don't get why people can't cook with it. Even with teflon, you should spray your pan. Even non-stick sticks. I'm also southern and butter is in most everything, but just a touch goes a long way in flavor.

I've learned a lot from Wolfgang too through the years. I like the fact that although he's a very wealthy man he's also a very down to earth man. Yes, he brags on his kids....but he says things about them being in college...NOT yah, my son just got his drivers license so I bought him a brand new sports car. When he talks to callers on the phone and you can tell the caller can't afford something, Wolf doesn't push it...he seems to understand. This is something I noticed Emeril never did...he pushed!! I remember one time some lady told him that although she liked Emeril a lot, she just couldn't afford his cookbook because her husband recently died...Emeril never offered her any condolences or stated that he understood...instead he said, "well as soon as you can afford to, you'll have to pick up the cookbook. Thanks a lot for calling in today."

Did anyone snag the OTO Crepe maker or have it. DH and I went out to dinner and I missed it. Guess it is a small price to pay for finally getting to go out on a date with hubby! Still would love to know if anyone has the crepe maker or got it and how it is. TIA
