Winning the Clutter War (Free book)

My little internet connector from Virgin Mobile died, and while I was waiting for the new one to arrive I decided to finally get my baking pans organized. (It's amazing how much you can accomplish when you're not on the computer all day!) I have shelves of them in the basement, and the ones I use frequently are in one of the kitchen cabinets, where they're difficult to get at - I have to pull everything out to get at what I want.

I was in Aldi's the other day, and they had sets of six interlocking mesh storage cubes for $16, so I got three sets. They're great - you can configure them any way you want. (I love Aldi's - you never know what you'll find! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}) I stacked ten of them, side by side, in an area next to my washer and dryer at the top of the basement stairs.

In going through my pans, I found that some had rusted, and had to be discarded. Others I have not only duplicates of, but multiples - I had five bundt pans! (2-3 are going to the thrift shop, as are some others I don't need duplicates of.) I found QVC boxes that had never been opened - they contained pans that I couldn't live without when I saw them, but had forgotten that I had ordered. {#emotions_dlg.crying}

Anyway, I'm trying to get decluttered, and everything is going to be organized so I can not only find what I need right away, but see everything at a glance. The newly freed-up kitchen cabinet will now be used for food, and the basement shelves will hold pieces that I use for entertaining, but that don't have to be readily accessible.

Perfect timing; today this book is FREE to download from Amazon:
