Wine lover here - best friends took us to Napa for our 50th b-days, came back as wine snobs. Have been back 2 more times. Belong to many wine clubs from Napa/Sonoma. But for every day, we love Cameron Hughes wines. He is a negotiant who sources excess production from high end wineries and sells at much lower prices. The web site often has great sales - recently got 30% off and free shipping w/2 cases. Be on the look out for CA wines from 2012 - it was an exceptional year w/excess production. Prices should be very good - in fact Cameron just released a 2012 cab that sounds great.

Lived in France for 6 years. Love wine, only red, either Merlot or Pinot Noir in California wines, although I prefer French wine. I have taken to the better box wines. Some are horrible, others are just as good as the bottles in the price range you named. it is just too hard for me to use a corkscrew. I only have 1 glass per day, maybe 1-1/2, sipped very slowly. I can't imagine dinner without wine.

Hi Adelh! Those are Maryland wineries. Maryland doesn't have good wines.

A wine club outside of Maryland is not allowed to delivery here.

Hi MaryV! Le Crema is one of my favorite chards. It has a buttery nose and finish. It's a well balanced wine, in my opinion. Have you tasted their pinot noir?

Hi golden! Congratulations on becoming a wine snob! Napa sounds like a wonderful gift. I'm going to look into Cameron Hughes. I love the idea of a wine negotiant.

Hi Nikalette! Have you tried using an automatic corkscrew like a Rabbit? I discovered those when I broke my arm snowboarding. Instead of a twisting and pulling motion, it's up and down.

We have enjoyed every purchase from CH! Hope you like what you try. Another nice option that they offer is a Buy and Hold so you are not shipping during hot weather. The wine will be held till October (so hard to wait but sometimes necessary).

Only if I can do it with one hand. I have minimal use of my left had and wrist. Shattered both bones in my lower arm...had surgery and a metal plate, but the doc did a bad job and the casting was terrible.
