Why the price hike?

Did a little price comparison on the soup night cookbook. Amazon is selling the book for $12/paperback. QVC $18.00/paperback. Same book. I generally don't come on the forum but this is ridiculous. QVC is supposed to stand for value. I don't see the value here. Its all about cha ching I guess.
