Why offer auto delivery

Had all my plans in order and then..sorry, your order will be delayed. Sugar-free junior's mini cheesecakes will not ship until January 6! Why take orders that cannot be filled? These were on their way to my parents, bill to ship to, auto delivery to be sure I get my order filled. Last year it was my ham. Next holiday I will order elsewhere!
