Which mini food processor is best?

I've had a red Kitchenaid mini food processor for a long time, and I use it all of the time. Christmas Day it stopped, right in the middle of chopping. I had to continue my prep work the old fashioned way, but later on when I plugged it in and pushed the button - nothing. DH said the motor is probably done.

I love it and of course they don't make the same style today.

So I'm open to suggestions for any other brands you use and love. Or do any of you have a new version of a Kitchenaid mini? TIA! Smiley Happy

I  have a mini Cuisinart that works pretty well.

Speaking of food processors, I have a Sunbeam food processor that still works great and has to be 40 years old. I think  it was the first one on the market. It is heavy and built like a mac truck. I got it when newly married. (1970). They  certainly don't make 'em like that anymore!

I'd get some kind of Ninja. I got the big KA food process...

I'd get some kind of Ninja. I got the big KA food processor and boy what aggravates me is everything has to be exact or that thing won't do squat.

I have to take off the lid and readjust 5 times before I can push the button and get it to go.

Can't figure out how to slice slick peppers in it either. they just jam up

I have a mini from Cuisinart.  I have a good friend that is head of housewares at Belk and she said that was her personal choice.

Love my mini KitchenAid too, sad to hear they don't make the same model you have anymore.

The Kitchen Aid is good but the small Ninja chopper works better, in my experience.  The double level blades chop more evenly.

I agree -- I love my mini KitchenAide as well.  I have one of the original Ninjas from the Q from many years ago and do not like that I don't have as much control with it as I do my KitchenAide.  I either get minced mush or I have big chunks left.  The KitchenAide always had nice mincing without turning the ingredients to mush.  I do not like the mini bowl of my large KitchenAide and don't know what I'd do if my mini died and couldn't find the same again.
