On Wednesday, 1/18/2017 toward the end of the TSV presentation, Lock & Lock Chris gave David Venable a hint that a sugar cube would keep something fresh -- but it had to be a sugar cube. Please help me remember what it was that it would keep fresh?

I didn't see the L&L presentation, but I know it works for bread, baked goods (cookies, brownies) also, if you put a sugar cube inside an empty plastic container it will remove residual odors, and mustiness. I'm sure there are many more uses for the mighty little sugar cube.

I saw the segment and Chris told David a sugar cube would help cheese stay fresh. 😊

Hmmm...... it seems sugar cubes keep cheese, baked goods and other things fresh!

'All I know' is that sugar lasts almost indefinitely, as long as it's properly stored. It's anti-mold, anti-mibrobial, anti- this and that. So, I'm guessing that sugar would 'preserve' other foods, more or less. Also, honey has some of those properties (for thousands of years), and also coconut oil. It's about time that sugar, honey, coconut oil, etc., be used for other things besides eating it. I'm one who would like to see more and better use of various natural foods that have been around for thousands of years. It's amazing, really.
