I have the most basic model. That is really all I need. But for my niece and her boyfriend this Christmas I want to give them a model they could really use daily. Both are excellent cooks, so I was thinking the version with the dry container might be the best bet. Since I don't believe there is another Vitamix TSV coming, which one would you recommend? Thanks so much in advance for your replies.

What a lovely gift! I would check the VM website. They hvae model comparison charts, and offer reconditioned deals

I bought the 7500 for my daughter. She wanted a model to fit underneath her kitchen cabinets.
I have the 6300 that I bought from Costco.
I would not buy one without the variable speeds and settings. We love soup and frequently use the soup setting to make a single serving lunch or dinner when we happen to be eating alone.
I love my Vitamix and would never be without one. I don't have the dry container but I don't make my own flours. I can see where that would be handy though.
I'm sure they will love any model you get for them. That is a wonderful, generous gift!

I would definitely gift the one that has the "under counter" size carafe. I bought the first TSV and it had the tall model and although I use the tall carafe, I bought the smaller one on the website so I could store the unit on my counter. I don't have low cabinets either, new house with quite a bit of room. It's helped me considerably. I use the smaller carafe all the time..... and yes to variable speeds, etc.....and WHAT a great gift~! ![]()

I'm sure they would be happy with any Vitamix machine. Q has a Vitamix TSV Sun. Nov 15th. From their guide it looks like Vitamix shows all day Sun.

Hi @sashamatthews, a few months back a good friend's Vitamix finally bit the dust and I researched the various Vitamixes and where to find the best values on Vitamixes. -- I shared this information in the Vitamix - comparing the three different model lines thread. I've moved the thread up because I thought you might want to look at it.
