Re: Where do you keep your small appliances?

[ Edited ]

I have a lot of counter space, but only want essentials on my counters.  I keep my Vitamix, Technivorm coffee maker and KA coffee grinder as far as appliances because I use them constantly (coffee items several times a day) and they are so cool looking!  My microwave is on a shelf under a cabinet and my toaster oven is on a cart.  The only other things I have are a container with utensils near the oven,   a jar with dog treats,  and a really nice container with coffee....  oh and a plant, and a little framed pic of the top of the Chrysler Bldg (I live in the northern subs of Chicago, but a real NYer at heart!).

Edited....   I forgot...  I also have 2 cutting boards that are the same granite as my counter tops,  with little feet on the bottom.  They are used daily as well.

Mixer, electric water kettle--countertop

Vitamix, Pixie--laundry room countertop

Coffee maker--kitchen countertop

Toaster and Food Processor--pullout drawer in kitchen

Crock pots, waffle makers, pressure cooker, bread makers--in garage on steel shelving

Rice cooker--in cabinet in laundry room

Re: Where do you keep your small appliances?

On the counter:

Microwave

Keurig

Air Fryer

Both KA stand mixers

KA Food Processor

Knife Block

Food for The Beast (with her treats and her Prozac)

Paper towels

Various salts and peppers

An aloe plant

Toaster, Juicer, crock pots, griddle, electric frying pan, etc stored in cabinets in the kitchen

I store my pressure cooker, pressure canner, food dehydrator, ice cream maker, food grinder, etc in the basement on shelves. Not difficult to get what I need.

Re: Where do you keep your small appliances?

We have a small kitchen so I keep everything under the counter or in a small pantry.  The Keurig and toaster are the only appliances I keep on the counter top.  Even if I had a large kitchen, I would keep the stand mixer, food processor, and other appliances tucked away.  I can't stand cluttered counter tops.

Re: Where do you keep your small appliances?

The only small appliances kept out (other than the microwave, of course!) is my KA stand mixer. Sometimes we use a Keurig and when we do it is out, but it has been unused and put away for over a year now.

I don't like a kitchen cluttered with small appliances. Even with all of today's matching colors and nice looking machines, I just think a kitchen looks cluttered (unless you have a really big kitchen and lots of counter space), when left out.

I don't have many of the small appliances everyone else does,  but the few I do are either in the basement (if only used occasionally) or put away in the cupboards.
