My mom used to make them.Now she is almost 86 and hasn't made them in years.I should have learned the recipe.The only gnocchi I like  are the ones from Whole Foods with a white sauce.When I go to Italy in the summer I buy them there and they taste much better than the ones sold here.

Trader Joe's sells very good gnocchi at their frozen aisle, they have 3 kinds, the gorgonzola sauce one, the  alla sorrentina (red sauce) and the sweet potato one with the butter sage sauce. All made in Italy for Trader Joe's.
