of plate/platter do you use to nicely arrange the lettuce, tomatoes, onions and pickles? (We're having grilled burgers).
I'm thinking a partitioned platter, but I don't have one. I'm having guests over next weekend and don't entertain a lot. I'm getting prepared.
Your ideas are appreciated.

What about something like this from Pier1?

If you don't want to buy a partitioned platter, I'd recommend separate small plates or shallow bowls.

I've found that any dollar store will usually have a great selection of platters/trays to choose from. When I go, I usually end up finding something that I didn't even knew I needed...lol
Have a great cook-out!
Ps... I just wanted to share this darling idea for serving watermelon. I can't wait to try it on Memorial Day!

I have a dish similar to this, and that is what I use. I keep the pickles separate, and have both bread and butter and Kosher dills. My family likes different types.

Oh, yeah! I agree with LoLa.. especially this time of year the dollar stores are full of that stuff. I've had some dollar store serving trays for years and years. Somehow it seems that the cheap stuff never gets lost.

I have never worried about a divided platter or separate dishes for this purpose. I make sure to dry the lettuce well, and drain the pickles well so you don't have a lot of juices running, but I see no reason they can't all go on one large plate or platter, arranged so it looks like it is sectioned. I've never had a problem with serving this way, but the Dollar Tree would probably have something.
If choosing to purchase something, I'd suggest you choose a clear glass or plastic (or most people think white goes with anything), or something that will coordinate with all your other dishware so you can use it for other functions later. I wouldn't go and pick up say a neon orange platter, if it won't match anything else you have and won't have much use for it later.

I have an old Chillzanne Platter (from Pampered Chef, I think) that I use for burger fixings and also for pizza toppings when we make grilled pizza. The bottom goes into the freezer and it will freeze; that way, it keeps everything cold. It works very nicely for grilled pizza because it can take a while to get pizzas done on the grill when you're making them for a crowd. And that seems to be what everybody wants around here.

I have a temptations and tupperware partitioned platters. They are round and fit nicely on a lazy susan. Great for this kind of thing. I'm sure you could find a fairly inexpensive one almost anywhere.
