Our Halloween was pretty quiet, as far as trick or treaters coming by goes.  I think we had around 30-35 kids.  Last year we had around 90-ish so I planned accordingly.  Then yesterday got cold, sleety, and even a little snowy - there's still a little snow on part of our property.  Between that and all the other Trunk or Treat events that have been going the past couple of weekends, parents were probably done with it all.  Our treats to pass out were Grandma's individually wrapped cookies. DH and I won't eat them, but we can give the leftovers to the neighbors or maybe the food pantry might take them.

I'm not leaving the house today. Right now I'm still in my jammie's, enjoying my second mug of coffee.

Lunch Today -

Boneless Pork Loin Chops (grilled in my Ninja)

Oven Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Tossed Salad w/Primal Kitchen Avocado Lime Dressing

Oh yeah - it's TURKEY TIME!!!!!!!!  I cannot wait, I really enjoy fixing this entire meal. The aromas fill my kitchen and ease into the living room. Everything I prepare for our meal is just so good, so tasty - YES I'm tooting my own horn!!!  You'd agree if you were at my table sharing my meal!

Re: Whats cooking this november?

We had so many tricks or treaters last night. I ran out of candy around 7:45 and turned off the porch light. Was happy no one rang the bell after light was out.

I am making spicy sausage lentil soup. Have some butterflake roll dough pulled from freezer, so we will have fresh rolls to go with soup. Red grapes for dessert.

I have all my Thanksgiving items, except fresh produce, already in the house. My dils will be helping me more this year with cooking, cleaning and decorating. We also reduced the number of rehab visits dh has for all of November thru January.

Can't believe it's November! Hats off to you @kate2357 for having your Thanksgiving off to a good start!

Cold here & snow isn't melting that quickly. Calls for Italian sausages with sauce &, peppers in the slow cooker. Topped with cheese on crusty rolls. Bean salad, olives & oven fries alongside.

I made pumpkin bread yesterday so a slice of that with hot cocoa if anyone is looking for dessert.

Hope you are having a good day so far. Thanks, @Pooky1, for starting us off!

Crock pot chicken and gravy. Starting to feel more like winter than fall here.

Enjoyed reading all of your posts.

Re: Whats cooking this november?

DH is teaching his second week of his graduate class so DD and I are on our own for dinner.  We did not have anything to cook in the house so I stopped by Wegman's and bought the ingredients for linguine with pesto and a salad.

Re: Whats cooking this november?

Did anyone see the Kitchen-Aid lady on Jimmy Kimball.......she was trying to break up an avacado and it was too hard and kept flying out of the bowl.

Tonight I am having pork chops, zucchini, oven browned potatoes and fresh applesauce.
