Re: Whats cooking this march?

@Runner26 --finally cooked this last night--OMG was it ever good!! We really made a flavorful broth and then all the veggies came in a package and we provided the steak---the steak was not cut as thin as it should be, so was a little chewy--prob cooked too long too, next time I think we will buy that very thin sliced meat to use. Had paks of dashi powder but added some beef broth and gochoujang. Served with some pickled radishes and carrots and fresh raspberries and nectarines. Had so much liquid left--going to freeze it for another meal. Just the broth was a nice tasty soup!!

[ Edited ]

We ate out for a late lunch.  I had a grilled chicken salad, and SO had a gyro and fries.  I have enough salad for tomorrows lunch.  I may eat some cereal later.  Or some cheese and crackers/grapes.

@JeanLouiseFinch   Sounds like your trip to PA was fun!  Glad you enjoyed.

@wagirl  We do not have an H Mart here.  Your meal sounded delicious!

Re: Whats cooking this march?

Now that the meatloaf is finished up it's going to be a simple lettuce salad, ravioli in meat sauce and cheesy bread sticks. DH has been eating Girl Scout cookies for dessert. I opened a pack of Lemonades for him - those are really big cookies!

Re: Whats cooking this march?

We finally get to see DS and the kids today.  We haven't seen them since before our trip.  It's only been two weeks but it feels like it was so long ago.

I have small ribeyes thawing and will make steak & eggs.  It was what I had on hand.  We haven't shopped yet since we got back from our road trip so I'll steam some frozen broccoli. I need to bring an Amazon return to town so I'll run into the store for some fresh mushrooms to saute.  I'm trying to push off the shopping until we go for the Easter groceries and I can get our usual stuff at the same time.

Early yesterday morning I roasted a turkey breast then made broth to freeze for Easter
We’ll have turkey salad for sandwiches with a little and a pot pie with the rest

Last night we had Texas Roadhouse for supper RedTop I hope your meal was as good as ours

Has anyone tried the frozen Texas Roadhouse rolls from the freezer section of the grocery store ? I rarely go through the frozen foods except the vegetables because it’s sooo cold 🥶 but I did this week and they caught my eye
I can’t believe it’s Friday already it’s been a very busy week I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend the pollen is horrible here now

Re: Whats cooking this march?

@Shihtzursqmom - DH and I are keto/low carb 99% of the time but one of our shameful cheats is the Texas Roadhouse rolls but it's only a few times a year.  I didn't even know they were in the freezer section.  Fortunately, most of our groceries come from Costco, Sam's, and Aldi or that could spell T-R-O-U-B-L-E.  Occasionally we go to Walmart or a regional supermarket when we need some things we can't get at those other places but I'll be avoiding the frozen bread section. LOL

Today we're having Parmesan and basil chicken meatballs with RAO's sauce and topped with some mozzarella, and leftover broccoli.  There's a lot of meatballs so we'll do leftovers tomorrow or Sunday.
