Re: Whats cooking this march?

[ Edited ]

Well, all of my stitches are out now.  Lastnight I brushed my teeth and when I rinsed there was a thread in the sink.   I felt around and yep, nothing left in there.  😄🤷‍♀️

It's raining right now but should clear up within the next hour or so.  It supposed to warm up to the upper 60's.  No cooking for me today.  DH and I are taking a drive and attending a SG concert this afternoon.  We expect to see a number friends there.  We'll be eating together after the concert.

Don't forget to change your clocks tonight and any put fresh batteries in where needed (smoke or CO2 detectors, clocks, etc).

Easy dinner tonight. Corned beef sandwiches on pumpernickel bread with lettuce, tomato and Russian dressing, with chips. Raining here but going to 65.

Company for dinner tonight - I made big batch of chili w/all the fixings with cornbread -- requested by my friends.

It tastes delicious!

Re: Whats cooking this march?

I ordered takeout from Outback for me, and my girls for our monthly Meal with Mom, a thing we started after my husband passed.  It is very rare for me to have both girls here at the same time.

Re: Whats cooking this march?

Making chicken salad with leftover KFC - too much chicken left.  I'll add grapes and cashews, celery and mayo and pepper.  Got some fresh mini croissants to serve it on.  I'll make some coleslaw to go with it.  I'm always tired when the clocks changed, and we were up late last night.  We had a major storm through here about 5 pm.  Said some tornadoes in the area (rare for us, lots of hills in SW PA).

Have a great Sunday everyone.

What a glorious day it is today!  Sunny and dry.  Slightly chilly but that's ok.

DS and the kids are coming today.  I'm making RAO's Creamy Tomato Soup - a double batch so he can take some home to DDIL.  I had a loaf of that Dohjoy keto friendly bread in the freezer so I'll make grilled cheese sandwiches to go with the soup.  DGD already asked me for more steak, LOL, so I have one thawing for her.   DGS will probably want chicken nuggets or Stouffers mac & cheese so I keep those on hand.  Not what I'd like him to eat but I'm not his parent.  He's going through a picky stage so even mom and dad are comprising for the time being.   One thing he loves is frozen blueberries so I keep them on hand for him too.
