Tonight we are going out to dinner. I am having prime rib, baked potato and salad. Looking forward to it because I haven't had prime rib in a long time. Have a great day everyone.

We had a  tossed salad and slightly burned pizza. My sweet husband said in all seriousness, "I like crunchy pepperoni". I laughed because I knew he was fibbing to make me feel better.

I found some good recipes in one of those Fix-It-and-Forget-It cookbooks, so I've made a shopping list. Probably will wait for cooler days before I begin making real meals.

@lynnie61 Thank you! I have been trying to read about everyone's fantastic eats & really can't wait to jump back into cooking ... maybe not too eager!  This heat & humidity is getting old.  I will welcome a cool Fall for sure.

We have been in a real mess here.  Having new flooring put in living/dining room, kitchen & family room.  The bedrooms & baths are ok.  This has been alot of work, packing things up & basically shutting down my kitchen because all the cabinets were covered & sealed. But mostly everything is back in place.  They did a fabulous job storing the furniture off site.  They also thanked us so much for the central air ... I can't imagine how they could have worked so well without it.

We pretty much ate out or carried in, grilled & ate outdoors in the heat ... 😖 

I'll be back to posting real soon. Need to plan & make a grocery list.  Everyone stay cool.

@AuntG   It's a running joke in our family, that my mom (gone many years), and then, occasionally me, burn grilled cheese.  But I do love my pepperoni crunchy!  We all survive.

I also can't wait for fall.  These nonstop 90's are getting old.
