Good evening everyone. Already into a new month getting closer to better weather.  Cloudy all day.last night we both had cereal for dinner and this morning I had a twinky. Quick and easy. I had leftover battered chicken for lunch. I made filling for egg rolls this morning and this afternoon made the egg rolls and I made the fried rice and fried the egg rolls. I sent Anna a bowl of rice and 3 egg rolls. I have never said about anna coming upstairs or eating up here with us.her older son built the apartment up here.it was just an attic before. He past away 22 years ago so she don't like to come up here . we had rice and egg rolls and fruit it came out really good. Have a great month of April everyone.

Chinese food sounds so good. I get a craving for it every now and then. All we are having are Sloppy Joes and Baked Beans. My husband will no doubt want something for dessert, so there's ice cream in the freezer.

Last night we had tacos.  Other menu items for this week include: chicken parmigiana, pizza and chicken salads.

I think I will be trying to cook more Mediterranean style-----cutting back on the white carbs, amping up the vegs and whole grains. DD and eat pretty sensibly  but need to tweak the diet just a little more. And that is something we both can do as we like those types of foods and eat alot of them all the time----just need more of it. This is a good time of year to start that too--lots of fresh stuff around and coming , we live about 1/4 mile from a farm with a store---

Happy First Day of April, Everyone.

We had such a fun time with our son’s family this past weekend but DH and I fell off the wagon hard and ended up feeling it Sunday and yesterday.  Fasting helped to reset.  We’re back on track but it’ll take us a few days to get back into full ketosis.  We have some friends who would go off and on keto without a second thought, depending on social situations and such.  I don't know how they managed.  I don’t want to do that again, it's not worth the consequences.  

There’s leftover deep dish pizza that we’re having for lunch, but definitely only eating the tops. I’ll make us a salad to go with it and include a zero sugar yogurt for dessert.

Last night we had stuffed green peppers with whole grain pasta. It turned cool last night so I had the oven going. Tonight it will be one of my fave things....eggroll in a bowl!

Good evening everyone. Jeanloisefrench your spring time picture is a great addition to start off The month and you guys make and eat alot of salads. I wish I loved salads but to me eating a salad isn't satisfying to me. The one salad I do enjoy is a taco salad actually. It started off raining over night but like 8 or 9 this morning it was sunny all day. I had a peice of chicken for breakfast, I know unusual, I had eggs just expired, haven't had them that long so they must have come in short coded. So I boiled a dozen and I have lunch for a few days and for dinner I made chicken broccoli carrot

 Stir fry with spaghetti with a peanut butter stir fry sauce we had clemintines and  grapes  I planted some herd seeds today.parsly, basil, tyme, and rosemary .Plus alot of flower seeds. Impatiens, petunias, zinnias and I think that was it. I still have more to plant maybe tomorrow. Have a great night everyone.

Hi everyone!
We have been out of town to attend a funeral. It was very sad; a younger cousin passed from brain cancer. She had been doing well but did pass peacefully. We decided to spend some time with my sister and brother-in-law. Now it's back home, facing the grocery shopping & cooking.

I made roasted chicken, mashed sweet potatoes & peas for dinner. Our weather is still cold & windy with rain/snow mix tomorrow. Have a good evening!
